Modernity sucks. Also, Apple is clearly squeezing people for money to fix their cheap shit.

So, how’s everyone doing today?

Also, haircut tomorrow, so that's...cool.

I think technology (including PCs) contributes to global climate change ever since 1760, right? Isn't that the downside of modernity?

*shrugs*

@PBSfanboy The funny thing is that Apple is known for having a good environmental record for a massive company, yet they are solely responsible for building their products to be impossible to fix and in general making it “uncool” to fix existing technology or at least buying anything used.

That said, I would blame fossil fuels more than technology itself for climate change. 70%-75% of all global emissions come from a handful of oil companies like Exxon and Shell. We’ll be better off if we make a serious attempt at replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy.

It sucks ass, hon.

Does it have to be a Mac? Windows has always been more tolerable for me, and Linux is awesome once you overcome the learning curve.

Mhm.

@jthrash Ya doin' your part to fight climate change?

I’m doin’ my part to stay in the house.

@jthrash Mainly because I’m used to it.

@PBSfanboy Of course. I vote, I sign petitions, I donate to environmental causes, I charge my devices with solar batteries during the summer, I even own an electric car and only charge it after midnight.

Cool.

@stuckathome Okay. I guess it depends on what you need the computer for. The majority of my 3D software doesn’t even work on a Mac, so I have to use Windows, or Linux for Blender.

Oh, just fun kinda stuff.
